Achievements of TLRDS

1. Trainings Attended by Members of TLRDS

Since its inception, members of the Tagin Language Research and Development Society (TLRDS) have been deputed to various institutions and organizations across the country to participate in specialized training programs. These trainings have been instrumental in enhancing their knowledge and competencies in diverse fields related to linguistics, pedagogy, and language development. Through these engagements, members have deepened their understanding of language documentation, curriculum design, phonetic analysis, and educational strategies—laying a stronger foundation for the systematic development and promotion of the Tagin language.

2. Trainings Imparted by TLRDS

The core policy of the Tagin Language Research and Development TLRDS) has been to acquire knowledge through the deputation of its members to various institutions across the country. These engagements have enabled members to gain expertise in linguistics, pedagogy,and language development. In parallel, TLRDS has consistently prioritized the dissemination of this acquired knowledge within the community. Over the course of approximately 12 years since its establishment, the TLRDS has published a range of books and reading materials. 5. Human Resource Development and Capacity Building

Over the past twelve years, the Tagin Language Research and Development Society (TLRDS) has played a pivotal role in training individuals from diverse backgrounds—including school and university students, government oAicials, public leaders, and business professionals—to read and write in the newly developed Tagin language script. Under a government-sponsored initiative led by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Department of Education, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, more than 120 teachers from various government schools have received formal training in Tagin language instruction.
It is a matter of deep satisfaction and pride that today, there is no shortage of qualified government teachers who are well-equipped to teach the Tagin language across educational institutions.
